Job summary

Realm seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to be the technical lead for customer deployments across the US. You will own integrations, onsite deployment work, and translate operational needs into scalable technical solutions.

The role is deeply technical, field-oriented, and requires hands-on work with customer systems and field engineering teams. You will embed with users, validate assumptions, and ensure reliability in demanding industrial and government environments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in software engineering or forward deployed / mission operations
• Ability to prototype and ship in field environments
• Strong collaboration with engineers and enterprise customers
• Experience with industrial/government/safety-critical products
• Hands-on coding and problem solving in real projects

Responsibilities

• Spend ~25% onsite with customers across the US
• Shadow operators to understand workflows and integration requirements
• Prototype tools and integrations in the field to validate ideas
• Lead technical integration work including APIs and data pipelines
• Translate field insights into clear technical requirements for the team
