Job summary

Roadrunner in Chicago, IL is seeking a dynamic sales professional to expand market share and strengthen customer relationships in a fast-paced logistics environment. You will prospect, qualify opportunities, and manage a disciplined pipeline from first contact to close.

You will own and grow accounts, partner with Operations to meet service needs, translate customer feedback into actionable insights, and align pricing with strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of sales experience preferred.
• Proven ability to generate new business and manage relationships independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication with leadership.
• Experience interpreting pricing agreements and financial documents.
• Numerical proficiency with discounts, commissions, and percentages.
• Proficient time management and organization with multiple priorities.
• Experience with Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• HazMat knowledge and logistics/transportation exposure is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for field-based sales.

Responsibilities

• Drive new business acquisition with a disciplined prospecting strategy and field engagement.
• Own and grow customer accounts with high-trust relationships and regular reviews.
• Align cross-functionally with Operations and other teams to deliver results.
• Manage pricing and commercial execution with accuracy and clarity.
• Maintain weekly sales reports, pipeline progress, and account records.
