Job summary

Cencora is seeking a Field Reimbursement Specialist to educate provider offices on access and coverage for our clients’ products across NY state, Boston, and Hartford areas. This field-based role requires travel up to 80% with overnight stays.

You will work as a liaison to reimbursement support services, educate on payers’ strategies, and help ensure patient access to therapies through buy-and-bill understanding and coverage knowledge.

Qualifications

• Ability to conduct field-based reimbursement and access support, education, and consultation to key account customers and cross-functional partners.
• Understanding of physician buy-and-bill model vs assignment of benefits to alternate sites of care.
• Experience in revenue cycle, buy and bill, formulary, benefit investigations, prior authorization, coding, and appeals processes.
• Deep understanding of medical and pharmacy benefits/policies.

Responsibilities

• Educate provider office staff and practice managers on logistics to support in-office administration and coverage changes.
• Educate on payers’ coverage management strategies including coding, billing, formulary, prior authorization, and appeals processes.
• Probe to understand office processes and root causes of access or reimbursement issues
• Deliver interactive educational presentations at various provider sites of service
• Provide information on reimbursement topics related to client products
• Perform other duties as assigned
