Job summary

EMD Serono, Inc. is seeking a Field Access Manager for Rare Tumor to drive patient and provider access to therapies across the assigned region.

You will lead reimbursement, education, and patient assistance initiatives to ensure timely treatment and a positive patient experience. Reporting to the Director, Field Access, Rare Tumor, you will collaborate with sales, marketing, and medical affairs, travel 40-60% including overnights, and ensure adherence to HIPAA and company policy while optimizing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, sciences, or related fields, or 15 years of job-related experience.
  • 8+ years in the pharmaceutical industry, sales, market access.
  • Minimum 2 years field access/reimbursement or 2 years of rare tumor field market access/sales experience.
  • Knowledge of private payer, Medicare, and Medicaid systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data and improve patient/customer experiences.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel 40-60%, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

  • Reimbursement Support: Help providers navigate reimbursement and patient access for Rare Tumor products, including prior authorizations, appeals, and denials.
  • Education and Training: Conduct training sessions for providers and staff on HUB services, reimbursement processes, coding, and billing practices.
  • Patient Assistance: Support patients in understanding insurance benefits and accessing patient assistance programs.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize patient access and support reimbursement strategies.
  • Compliance: Ensure activities comply with policies and regulations.
  • Data Analysis: Monitor reimbursement trends and provide insights to improve access.
  • Field Visits: Regularly visit offices to provide hands-on support and build relationships.
  • Patient Access Leadership: Develop and present tactical plans to leadership for access opportunities.
  • Strategy and Execution: Assist with projects to streamline and improve patient access.
