Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a 3D scanning technician to perform handheld scans using Artec Leo and similar tools. You will process data, generate meshes, and deliver scan-to-CAD outputs for clients on construction sites and plants.

The role requires experience with handheld scanners, Artec Studio, and CAD reading. Travel to regional hubs is expected; valid driving license is required. Training and certifications may be provided.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience operating a handheld structured-light or laser scanner on real projects with examples.
Working knowledge of Artec Studio or comparable scan-processing software; mesh cleanup, registration, and export.
Familiarity with CAD drawings and reading structural/fabrication drawings.

Responsibilities

Plan and execute handheld 3D scans of rebar and embeds before concrete placement and other structures.
Control drift on large objects with reference features and overlapping zones.
Verify capture completeness on site before leaving.
Process scans in Artec Studio: registration, fusion, mesh cleanup, texture export to STL/OBJ/E57/CAD.
Produce deviation maps and anchor bolt reports against drawings or CAD.
