Job summary

Brunswick Boat Group is seeking skilled technicians to build and repair fiberglass boat hulls and decks, using hand tools, gel-coat spray equipment, grinders and drills. You will inspect components, apply finishes, and ensure safe handling of solvents and paints while maintaining quality and schedule adherence.

The Tech I/II roles require parsing prints, working with heavy parts, and passing an internal skills test, with opportunities across a range of Brunswick brands.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2–3 years boat building experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of hand tools.
• Ability to read and understand prints and production schedules.
• Able to work with suspended loads up to 50 lbs.
• Excellent attention to detail for defect identification.

Responsibilities

• Build and repair fiberglass boat hulls, decks, and small parts using hand tools and gel-coat spray equipment.
• Inspect parts and understand fiberglass finishes; use abrasives as needed.
• Handle solvents, paints, putty, wax; dispose of materials properly.
• Follow job instructions and communicate status of work.
• Protect boat components while performing finishing duties.
