Job summary

Brunswick Boat Group seeks skilled technicians to construct and repair fiberglass boat hulls, decks and small parts, using gel-coat spray equipment, grinders, buffers and drills to ensure high-quality finishes and structural integrity. You will read prints, follow production schedules, handle solvents and paints, apply putty and wax, and document progress while meeting gel-coat acceptance criteria for defects.

A high school diploma or GED and 2–3 years of boat-building experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2-3 years of boat building experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand prints and production schedules.
• Working knowledge of hand tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Excellent attention to detail for identifying defects.

Responsibilities

• Build and repair fiberglass boat hulls, decks, and small parts using hand and specialty tools.
• Inspect parts and understand fiberglass finishes.
• Handle solvents, paints, putty and wax and dispose properly.
• Follow job instructions and report part completion status.
• Protect boat components while finishing duties.
• Demonstrate repair methodologies and meet gel coat acceptance criteria.
