Job summary

Brunswick Corporation is seeking a Parts Inspector/Finish Repair Technician to construct and repair fiberglass boat hulls, decks, and small parts. You will use hand tools and gel-coat spray equipment to ensure high-quality finishes and structural integrity.

The role requires reading prints, following instructions, inspecting parts for defects, and maintaining a safe work environment with PPE. Tech I/II levels correspond to different pay ranges and responsibilities, with strong benefits including

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
2-3 years of boat building experience preferred.
Ability to read and understand prints and production schedules.
Ability to work with suspended loads and heavy lifting, up to 50lbs.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to adapt to changing requirements in a positive and proactive way.
Excellent attention to detail for identifying defects and inconsistencies in parts and components.

Responsibilities

Build and repair fiberglass boat hulls, decks, and small parts using hand tools and gel-coat spray equipment.
Inspect parts and understand fiberglass finishes or basic use of abrasives.
Handle and apply solvents, paints, pastes, putty and wax; ensure proper disposal.
Follow job instructions and provide status updates.
Protect components while finishing duties.
