Job summary

Star Construction LLC is seeking a Laborer Telecom Aerial to support an aerial telecom crew installing and maintaining fiber/telecom cables. This role requires validating readiness, providing tools and materials, and assisting with safety and site readiness in Alabama.

You’ll work with a team, perform hand digging, flag traffic, and maintain vehicles while enjoying benefits such as weekly pay, PTO, 401(k) with company match, stock purchase plan, and education reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma or GED, or relevant work experience.
• Valid state driver's license (not Provisional) with acceptable driving record.
• Certified pole climber or willing to become certified.
• Previous labor experience in telecommunications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed.
• Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed.
• Ensure that door-tagging and resident notifications for construction activities are completed before starting work each day.
• Stock, clean, and maintain all company vehicles and equipment.
• Perform hand digging using shovels and mechanical tools.
• Direct/flag traffic flow in line with local DOT guidelines.
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.
