Job summary

Star Construction LLC in Tanner, Alabama, is seeking a Laborer Telecom Aerial to support an aerial crew with installation and maintenance of fiber/telecom cables and materials.

Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members, move equipment as directed, and ensure safety practices and DOT-compliant traffic control. Eligible candidates must be 18+, have a valid license, and be willing to become a pole climber. Benefits include multiple employee perks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent) required.
• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Certified pole climber or willing to become certified.
• Previous labor experience in telecommunications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed.
• Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed.
• Ensure door-tagging and resident notifications for construction activities are completed before starting work each day.
• Stock, clean, and maintain all company vehicles and equipment.
• Perform hand digging using shovels and mechanical tools.
• Direct/flag traffic flow in line with local DOT guidelines.
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.
