Job summary

Star Construction LLC is hiring a Laborer Telecom Aerial to support an Aerial Telecom Crew in installing and maintaining fiber/telecom cables. You will provide tools, materials, and equipment to the crew, move trucks and gear, and assist with traffic control and daily site duties.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, 18+ years old, and the ability to work in all weather. Prior telecom labor experience is a plus; certification as a pole climber is preferred or achievable after hire.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Certified pole climber or willing to become certified.
• Previous labor experience in telecommunications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed.
• Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed.
• Ensure door-tagging and resident notifications for construction activities are completed before starting work each day.
• Stock, clean, and maintain all company vehicles and equipment.
• Perform hand digging using shovels and mechanical tools.
• Direct/flag traffic flow in line with local DOT guidelines.
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.
