Job summary

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in fiber optics, telecommunications, structured cabling, or low-voltage installations.
• Experience with fiber termination, splicing, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of OTDRs, power meters, fiber testing equipment, and cable certification tools.
• Ability to read blueprints and telecommunications drawings.
• Experience in commercial, industrial, telecommunications, or data center environments preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
• Fusion Splicing, OSP Fiber Construction, Aerial & Underground Fiber, MDF/IDF Buildouts, Data Centers, Certifications (BICSI/FOA/CFOT/OSHA)

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, splice, and test single-mode and multi-mode fiber optic cabling.
• Perform OTDR testing, fiber certification, troubleshooting, and fault isolation.
• Install and terminate CAT5e, CAT6, and CAT6A structured cabling systems.
• Build and organize MDF/IDF rooms, including racks, patch panels, cable tray, and network hardware.
• Support aerial and underground OSP fiber construction projects.
• Read and interpret blueprints, splice diagrams, and construction drawings.
• Complete project documentation and maintain quality and safety standards.
• Lead small crews and assist with coordinating daily field activities.
