Job summary

Metronet in Lawrence, IN is seeking a Fiber Technician to perform installations, disconnects, and service changes for residential and business customers. You'll troubleshoot from the fiber terminal to CPE and educate customers on our products.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience with telecom/fiber preferred but not required.
Ability to work kneeling or standing for long periods.
Able to climb ladders up to 25 feet with proper safety gear.
Lift and carry up to 75 lbs including a ladder.
Valid drivers license and satisfactory driving record.
Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

Install and troubleshoot all Metronet services from the terminal to Customer Premise Equipment (CPE).
Provide in-depth customer education on all Metronet products and services.
Earn commissions by explaining Metronet services and products to customers.
Maintain professionalism with customers and associates.
Work toward meeting key performance metrics.
Perform other duties as requested.
