Job summary

MetroNet is seeking a dedicated Fiber Technician in West Chicago, IL to install and troubleshoot fiber services from the terminal to customer equipment. You will educate customers on Metronet products and contribute to a high-performance team in a fast-growing, locally owned company.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, ladder access, and willingness to travel for training or as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with telecom or fiber helpful but not required.
• Ability to work kneeling or standing for long periods.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and climb ladders up to 25 feet.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot Metronet services from terminal to CPE.
• Provide in-depth customer education on Metronet products.
• Earn commissions by explaining Metronet services to customers.
• Be professional with customers and colleagues.
• Meet key performance metrics.
• Perform other duties as needed.
