Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Lead Technician to support a Montgomery, AL team on various cabling projects including fiber optic and copper systems. You will install, test, and document network cabling while coordinating with project managers and engineers.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of low-voltage/telecommunications experience, read/write English, and the ability to lift 60 lbs. This is a fully onsite role with benefits and a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of verifiable experience in low-voltage / telecommunications.
• Experience with LAN, inter-building backbone, security, and audio/video cabling.
• Proficiency with industry-recognized certification tools, test equipment, and processes.
• BICSI credentials are a plus.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English; perform basic math; and distinguish industry color codes.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs, work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying temperatures.
• Verifiable experience and character references required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62499.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
