Job summary

IES Communications is seeking a Technician I - Fiber to install, terminate, test, and splice fiber systems across our projects in the Phoenix area. The role requires hands-on experience with fiber connectors, testing equipment, and fiber management practices.

You will build and label terminations, perform OTDR tests, and ensure compliance with company standards. As a Technician I, you will work on indoor/outdoor fiber installations, support network builds, and complete required paperwork

Qualifications

• Must possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience with fiber testing and basic copper terminations.
• Ability to terminate various fiber connectors (LC/SC/ST/etc.).

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, test, and splice fiber cables and components.
• Test fiber networks using OTDR and continuity tests; troubleshoot faults.
• Maintain proper labeling, documentation, and safety practices.
