Job summary

FiOptix is seeking a dedicated Fiber Technician to support the Phoenix, AZ area. You will install, splice, and terminate fiber cables, perform testing with OTDRs and power meters, and troubleshoot network issues to ensure high-quality connectivity for clients.

The role requires interpreting blueprints and working safely outdoors, often in changing weather. You will collaborate with project managers and field staff to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Basic understanding of fiber optic tech and installation practices.
• Ability to work outdoors and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Experience using OTDRs and power meters for testing.
• Certification in fiber optic installation and splicing.

Responsibilities

• Install, splice, and terminate fiber cables per standards.
