Ideal candidates will have 2+ years in fiber splicing or related fields, proficiency with fusion splicing equipment, OTDRs and diagnostic tools, and the ability to read construction prints and As-Builts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• 2+ years fiber splicing/OSP or related experience or equivalent training.
• Proficiency with fusion splicer, OTDR, optical power meter and fiber identifiers.
• Ability to read construction prints, splice diagrams, maps and permits.

Responsibilities

• Install, splice, test and troubleshoot fiber optic cable for construction projects.
• Troubleshoot fiber faults using OTDR and power meters; document results.
• Prepare, install, audit and repair splice cases/enclosures across aerial and underground work.
• Perform optical tests and ensure route integrity and safety compliance.
• Coordinate with crews, contractors and engineers to resolve outages and meet schedules.
• Read prints and As-Builts; provide detailed splicing reports when required.
• Use company devices for work orders, diagnostics and documentation.
