Forged Fiber 37 is hiring a Fiber Tech II to install, splice, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic cable across construction, operations, maintenance, and emergency restoration. You will work on aerial, underground, and handhole systems, ensuring quality and safety in all tasks.

The role requires hands-on experience with fusion splicers, OTDRs, optical power meters, fiber identifiers, and inspection scope, plus the ability to read prints and coordinate with teams and contractors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years fiber splicing/telecom outside-plant experience or equivalent training.
• Proficiency with fusion splicer, OTDR, optical power meter, fiber identifiers, inspection scope.

Responsibilities

• Install, splice, and test fiber optic cable for construction projects.
• Troubleshoot fiber faults with OTDR, power meter, and related tools; document results.
• Prepare and repair splice cases/enclosures across aerial, buried, handholes, and manholes.
