Congruex is seeking a Fiber Splicing Technician to join our field team. You will splice, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain fiber optic networks for telecommunications clients, coordinating field activities and documenting work to ensure high-quality, reliable service.

This role emphasizes safety, precision, and teamwork as you read blueprints, manage fiber cases, and perform underground and aerial installations to support critical infrastructure projects across diverse job sites.

Qualifications

• Fiber optic splicing and telecom construction experience required.
• Experience with underground and aerial fiber installation, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.
• High school diploma or equivalent; OSHA 10 required.
• Must be able to read blueprints, splice matrices, maps, and utility drawings.
• Ability to climb ladders and poles; work in confined spaces; stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Splice, test, troubleshoot, repair, and activate fiber systems.
• Diagnose cable plant issues and perform end-to-end testing with field documentation.
• Read splice matrices, prints, and maps for assignments and audits.
• Build and manage fiber cases and enclosures, including color-for-color splicing.
• Pull fiber through duct/conduit using various methods while maintaining safety.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain project documentation.
