Job summary

Congruex, a national digital infrastructure provider, is seeking a Fiber Splicing Technician in Wheeling, WV. You will splice, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain fiber optic networks, coordinating field activities and documenting work to ensure high-quality installations.

Applicants should have 3+ years in fiber splicing and telecommunications construction, OSHA 10, and a valid driver's license. The role requires safety focus, ability to read blueprints, and comfort working outdoors in

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• OSHA 10 Certification required.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record preferred.

Responsibilities

• Splice, test, troubleshoot, repair, and activate underground and aerial fiber optic cable systems.
• Diagnose cable plant issues and perform end-to-end network testing and documentation.
• Read splice matrices, prints, and maps to complete fiber assignments and related documentation.
• Build, prepare, seal, and manage fiber cases and enclosures with proper splicing.
• Pull fiber cable through duct/conduit using manual, mechanical, or blowing methods while maintaining safety.
