Job summary

Cable Services Company, Inc. is seeking a Fiber Splicer to install, splice, and maintain fiber optic systems across project sites in the Northeast region. The role requires frequent travel and overnight hours, including midnights (midnight to 7am) and weekend on-call duties.

Required are a minimum of 2 years in fiber splicing, a high school diploma or GED, and proficiency with fusion splicing, OTDRs and fiber identifiers. A valid driver's license and safety-conscious work habits are essential.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years' experience splicing all types of fiber optic cables.
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience working in bucket truck at heights up to 30-40 ft.
Proficiency with fusion splicers, OTDRs and optical power meters.

Responsibilities

Install, troubleshoot, and maintain fiber optic system.
Prep and hang fiber optic enclosures, nodes and related equipment.
Route, splice and terminate fiber in equipment racks at central offices or buildings.
Read design maps and fiber schematics.
Operate aerial lift and related equipment.
Be on-call for emergency restoration.
