Job summary

Cable Services Company in Boston seeks a Fiber Splicer to install, troubleshoot, and maintain fiber optic systems across multiple sites in the Northeast. This role requires frequent travel, overnight work during off-peak hours, and weekend on-call duties to support emergency restorations.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of fiber splicing experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work from bucket trucks at heights. The position offers overtime and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in fiber optic cable splicing.
• Experience reading design maps and fiber schematics.
• Ability to work at heights in bucket trucks and lift heavy materials.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain fiber optic system.
• Prep and hang fiber optic enclosures, nodes and related equipment.
• Route, splice and terminate fiber in equipment racks at central offices or hub sites.
• Read design maps, fiber schematics and basic electronic designs.
• Operate aerial lift to perform job functions and support restoration.
