Job summary

Cable Services Company is seeking a Fiber Splicer to install, troubleshoot and maintain fiber optic systems across a multi-state Northeast area. The role requires frequent travel and overnight work, including midnight–7am hours and shared weekend on-call duties for restoration efforts.

Applicants should have at least 2 years of fiber splicing experience, a high school diploma or GED, and be comfortable working from bucket trucks and aerial lifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience splicing fiber optic cables.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in bucket truck at heights >30-40 ft.
• Able to read design maps and fiber schematics.
• Pass background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain fiber optic system.
• Route, splice, and terminate fiber in equipment racks.
• Read maps and schematics; perform fusion splicing as directed.
• Operate aerial lift and related equipment; on-call for emergencies.
• Complete all safety, timesheet, and project documentation.
