Kanaan Communications, LLC seeks a Fiber Splicer II to fuse optical fibers and maintain our telecommunications network in Whitehall, Grand Rapids, and Muskegon, MI. This field hourly position involves hands-on splice work, testing, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

You'll perform aerial and underground splicing, document daily work, and mentor teammates while maintaining safety and quality. A valid driver's license and DOT medical card are required, with at least two years of

Qualifications

• Two years of fiber splicing experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent) required.
• Valid State driver's license with clean driving record.
• DOT physical exam and medical card required.

Responsibilities

• Perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Upgrade existing fiber sheaths with new fiber sheaths.
• Provide guidance to other splicers as needed.
• Document work through daily production reports and maps.
