Job summary

Kanaan Communications, LLC is seeking a Fiber Splicer II to complete fusion of optical fibers, maintaining our telecommunications networks. You will perform aerial and underground splicing, test circuits, and ensure standards compliance as part of a hands-on crew.

The role requires at least two years of fiber splicing experience, a valid US driver's license, and the ability to pass a DOT physical. We offer strong benefits and a supportive, safety-first work culture.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company.
• Two years of fiber splicing experience.
• Pole climber certification preferred.
• Knowledge of telecommunications network structure.

Responsibilities

• Perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Upgrade existing fiber sheaths with new fiber sheaths.
• Provide guidance to other splicers as needed.
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles and document work in reports.
