Job summary

Kanaan Communications, LLC is hiring a Fiber Splicer II to fuse optical fibers and maintain our growing telecom network. You will perform aerial and underground splicing, test circuits, and ensure adherence to industry standards in a demanding field environment.

The role requires at least two years of fiber splicing experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a DOT medical exam. Training and growth opportunities are offered within a supportive team.”

Qualifications

• At least two years of fiber splicing experience.
• Must pass a DOT medical exam and hold a valid medical card.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot post-installation circuits.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Upgrade fiber sheaths and mid-sheath fibers as required.
• Provide guidance to other splicers and maintain daily maintenance of vehicles.
• Document work via daily production reports and map updates.
