Job summary

Kanaan Communications, LLC is seeking a Fiber Splicer II to fuse optical fibers and maintain our telecom networks. You will perform aerial and underground splicing, test and troubleshoot circuits, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Two years of fiber splicing experience.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• DOT medical card and ability to pass a DOT exam.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Provide guidance to other splicers, as needed.
• Document work via daily production reports and maps.
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles.
• Other duties as assigned.
