Job summary

Kanaan Communications, LLC is hiring a Fiber Splicer II to fuse optical fibers and maintain our growing telecom networks. You will perform aerial and underground splicing, test post-installation circuits, and ensure standards are met to keep data flowing reliably.

Essential duties include guiding junior splicers, maintaining vehicles, and documenting work accurately. Candidates must have 2+ years of fiber splicing, a valid US driver’s license, and the ability to pass a DOT medical examination.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of fiber splicing experience.
• Must be 18+ and authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean record and ability to pass a DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Provide guidance to other splicers as needed.
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles and document work in daily production reports.
