Job summary

Kanaan Communications, LLC seeks a Fiber Splicer II to fuse optical fibers and maintain our telecommunications networks. You’ll splice for strong, reliable connections and test circuits post-installation across aerial and underground routes.

Qualifications

• Two years of fiber splicing experience
• Ability to perform splices in aerial and underground environments
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical and maintain a valid medical card

Responsibilities

• Perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards
• Upgrade existing fiber sheaths with new fiber sheaths
• Document work through daily production reports and map updates
• Provide guidance to other splicers as needed
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles
