Job summary

Kanaan Communications, LLC is seeking a Fiber Splicer II to maintain and upgrade our fiber network. You will splice optical fibers, test circuits, and ensure installations meet industry standards while supporting safe, efficient fieldwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Valid State driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Must pass a DOT physical exam for a valid medical card.
• At least two years of fiber splicing experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot post-installation circuits.
• Ensure splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Upgrade fiber sheaths with new materials as needed.
• Provide guidance to other splicers and support maintenance.
• Document daily work in production reports and maps.
