Job summary

Ervin Cable Construction, LLC seeks a Fiber Splicer II to fuse optical fibers and maintain our growing telecom networks. You’ll perform aerial and underground splicing, test circuits, and ensure standards meet customer and industry specs.

Qualifications

• Must have fiber splicing experience and practical knowledge of telecommunications networks.
• Ability to read maps and work orders and maintain accurate documentation.
• Strong safety awareness and compliance with DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation.
• Ensure splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Upgrade existing fiber sheaths with new fiber sheaths.
• Provide guidance to other splicers as needed.
• Document work via daily production reports and material usage records.
