Job summary

Ervin Cable Construction, LLC seeks a Fiber Splicer II to fuse optical fibers and maintain our telecom networks. You’ll perform aerial and underground splicing, test circuits, and ensure workmanship meets industry standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Valid State driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• DOT physical exam required and must have a valid medical card.
• At least two years of fiber splicing experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation.
• Ensure splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Upgrade existing fiber sheaths with new fiber sheaths.
• Provide guidance to other splicers as needed.
• Document work via daily production reports and map updates.
