Job summary

Ervin Cable Construction, LLC is seeking a Fiber Splicer to fuse optical fibers and maintain our telecommunications networks. Your work ensures data travels seamlessly across our growing network and keeps customers connected.

In this role, you will perform aerial and underground splicing, test and troubleshoot circuits, and document daily production reports while upholding safety and quality standards in a field-based environment.

Qualifications

• 6 months of splicing experience or 1 year in telecommunications.
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean driving record and eligibility for a DOT medical card.

Responsibilities

• With guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet strict customer and industry standards.
• Safely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the air.
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks.
• Document work performed through daily production reports, including marking up maps and keeping correct material usage records.
• Other duties as assigned
