Job summary

Texstar Enterprises LLC is seeking a Fiber Splicer to fuse optical fibers and maintain our telecommunications network. Your splice work ensures strong, reliable connections and seamless data flow across our expanding system.

You will perform aerial and underground splicing, test and troubleshoot circuits, and document work with maps and production reports. The role requires climbing, driving, and adherence to safety standards in varied environments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• 6 months splicing or 1 year in telecom experience.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean record.
• Ability to pass DOT medical exam and obtain medical card.
• Certified pole climber or demonstrate climbing proficiency.
• Knowledge of telecommunications network structure.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform aerial and underground cable upgrades and splicing with guidance.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot circuits after installation.
• Ensure splicing meets customer and industry standards.
• Safely operate at heights and travel to various locations.
• Complete daily vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
• Document work with daily production reports and maps.
