Job summary

Texstar Enterprises, LLC is seeking a Fiber Splicer II to fuse optical fibers and maintain our telecommunication networks. You will perform splicing, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure strong, reliable connections across our growing network.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of fiber splicing experience and a good understanding of telecom network structures. DOT physical and a valid driver’s license may be required for field work.

Qualifications

• Requires at least two years of fiber splicing experience.
• Knowledge of telecommunications network structure is preferred.
• Certified pole climber or ability to demonstrate proficiency is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Upgrade existing fiber sheaths with new materials where needed.
• Provide guidance to other splicers as required.
• Document work in daily production reports and map updates.
