Job summary

TelCom Construction, LLC is seeking a Fiber Splicer to complete the fusion of optical fibers for our telecommunication networks. You will join a team responsible for keeping data flowing efficiently, performing splicing tasks both aerial and underground, testing and troubleshooting circuits, and maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role involves on-site field work with opportunities for growth, hands-on training, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Valid State driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Must pass a DOT physical exam and obtain a valid medical card.
• Minimum 6 months splicing experience or 12 months in telecom industry.
• Background check and drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot network circuits after installation.
• Ensure splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Safely work at varying heights and weather conditions.
• Complete basic daily vehicle maintenance and report issues.
• Document work in daily production reports, maps, and material usage.
