MasTec Communications Group is hiring a Laborer/Groundman in Fort Myers, FL. You will perform general labor for aerial and underground construction, assist with fiber blowing, conduit placement, and map reading. This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and learning on the job with a range of manual tasks and equipment operation.

You must be able to lift up to 70 lbs, have a valid driver’s license, and read design schematics. Training for RF and fiber work will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Safety is a day-to-day focus.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physical labor.
• Read and understand maps, diagrams, and design schematics.
• Experience with RF and fiber projects a plus.

Responsibilities

• Dig trenches, unload materials, and prepare sites with hand tools.
• Perform fiber blowing and install fiber in conduits.
• Conduct general labor on construction sites and move materials.
• Place conduit under Foreman direction and read maps and schematics.
• Operate vehicles and equipment as trained; climb poles safely.
• Troubleshoot RF and fiber line issues and assist in repairs.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain workspace cleanliness.
