Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is hiring a Laborer/Groundman to support aerial and underground construction projects. You will perform general labor, assist with fiber and conduit work, and help ensure job sites are safe and organized.

This is hands-on outdoor work requiring a valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 70 lbs, and reading maps/schematics. Competitive hourly pay of $20-$26 with benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Safety is a part of your day-to-day.
• Able to read and understand maps and diagrams for project builds.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs.
• Climbing certification or related experience is preferred.
• Experience in overhead construction for RF and Fiber is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Dig trenches and unload materials; prepare job sites with hand tools.
• Assist in fiber blowing and conduit installation.
• Perform general labor on construction sites and move materials as directed.
• Read design schematics and map layouts for projects.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed and use required PPE.
