Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking a Laborer/Groundman in California to support aerial and underground construction projects. You will perform general labor, assist in fiber blowing, map reading, and equipment operation while following safety procedures.

You should be able to lift up to 70 lbs, hold a valid driver's license, and work with a team in a fast-paced environment. Overtime is paid per California law and a comprehensive benefits package is provided.

Responsibilities

• Dig trenches and unload materials using hand tools.
• Perform fiber blowing operations and assist in fiber optic installations.
• Conduct general labor on construction sites and move materials as directed.
• Read designs and read maps; assist with conduit placement.
• Operate or assist with vehicle and equipment operations as trained.
• Comply with safety procedures and wear required safety equipment.
