Job summary

MasTec Communications Group in Colorado Springs is seeking a dedicated Laborer/Groundman to support aerial and underground construction projects. You will perform general labor, operate equipment as trained, and help ensure safety and quality on every task.

This role requires physical stamina, map-reading ability, familiarity with safety procedures, and a willingness to learn and be certified on equipment like line and bucket trucks. A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are needed.

Qualifications

• You can lift and carry up to 70 lbs.
• You can read maps, drawings, and diagrams for build processes.
• Practical experience in overhead construction for RF and Fiber.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labor for aerial and underground construction projects.
• Dig trenches, unload materials, and prepare job sites with hand tools.
• Conduct fiber blowing operations and install fiber optic cable in conduits.
• Read design schematics and maps to support project build.
• Operate and support with line/bucket trucks and related equipment as trained.
