Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is hiring a Laborer/Groundman to support aerial and underground construction projects. You will perform general labor, assist with fiber blowing operations, and help install fiber optic cable while following safety procedures and Palpable guidance from the Foreman.

The role requires reading maps, handling materials, and learning to read design schematics and BOMs. A valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 70 lbs are required, with overtime opportunities under

Qualifications

• Able to read maps, diagrams and design schematics for builds.
• Comfortable reading project plans and following directions from Foreman.
• Physically able to lift up to 70 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Dig trenches, unload materials, and prepare job sites with hand tools.
• Perform fiber blowing operations and assist in installing fiber optic cable.
• Conduct general labor and conduit placement as directed by Foreman.
• Read maps and directions and support with trenching, moving materials, and equipment.
• Maintain safety procedures and operate vehicles and equipment as trained.
• Learn to read designs from schematics or maps and become familiar with BOMs.
