Job summary

Ziply Fiber in Oregon is seeking a dedicated Fiber Optic Technician to install, service, and repair residential fiber and related equipment while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

You will handle fiber drops, ONTs, routers, and Wi‑Fi extenders, read outside plant drawings, use handheld dispatch tools, and participate in standby rotations. A valid driver’s license and pre-employment screening are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred.
• 1-2 years in fiber data and voice installation and maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and clean driving record.
• Pre-employment drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain residential internet and phone (fiber drops, ONTs, routers, Wi‑Fi extenders, inside wiring).
• Support, install, and repair company products and services.
• Communicate effectively with customers to reduce repeat calls.
• Read and interpret outside plant drawings for drops and tickets.
• Use dispatch tools and test equipment to verify installations.
