Job summary

NATCO in Arkansas is seeking an Installation and Repair Technician to ensure broadband networks are deployed and maintained in customers' homes and businesses. You will install and repair cables, fiber and copper, and optimize network performance with a strong focus on service quality.

The role requires reading telecom layouts, troubleshooting, and collaborating with customers in a rural North-Central Arkansas setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
• A valid driver’s license with no major violations.
• Understanding of OSHA required safety practices, including ladder safety and pole climbing.
• Ability to read cross connect/control point layouts to run jumpers.
• Knowledge of color codes of pairs and fiber cable.
• Experience with ADSL and Ethernet services.

Responsibilities

• Installing aerial boots.
• Splicing new cable (copper or fiber).
• Installing and repairing digital carrier systems.
• Thorough knowledge of electronics.
• Understanding digital and analog telecommunications technology.
• Knowledge of color codes of pairs and fiber cable.
• Reading cross connect/control point layout to run jumpers.
• Basic electrical knowledge.
