Job summary

TAK Broadband, LLC in Little Rock, AR is seeking an experienced Fiber Splicer to join our field team. You will install, repair and test fiber and coax, splice loose tube and ribbon fiber, and configure hybrid fiber/coax networks to keep our customers connected.

This full-time role offers a 7am-5pm schedule with overtime as needed, weekly pay, a company vehicle, and a comprehensive benefits package. Must have fiber/coax splicing experience and valid photo ID; CDL not required.

Qualifications

• Prior fiber splicing and coax splicing experience required
• Experience with CWDM and DWDM, prepping & splicing from 6ct to 288ct, and knowledge of OTDR (VEeX and/or EXFO) and the Fujikura Fiber Splicer is a plus
• Experience splicing coax plant sizes between .500 to .875 with understanding of active and passive equipment
• Ability to work outside of business hours when needed, overtime, holidays, evenings, weekends etc., in all seasons
• Must provide a valid government-issued photo ID for verification; a driver's license is required if the role involves driving

Responsibilities

• Complete installation, repair and testing of fiber and coax and the different components
• Splice loose tube and ribbon fiber as well as coax in compliance with modern standards
• Connect and configure fiber optic networks for facilities while troubleshooting problems
• Read splicing print and apply color code to print reading
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot equipment after installation
• Daily vehicle maintenance and safety checks
• Maintain daily production reports and track work hours
