Job summary

Dobson Fiber Installation & Repair Technician role handling installation and maintenance of fiber optic systems for residential customers. You will configure and test equipment, perform site surveys, and troubleshoot to ensure reliable high-speed services.

The position requires hands-on experience, strong customer service, and the ability to travel to multiple job sites with flexible hours and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in telecommunications or electronics preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of fiber optic installation, maintenance, or a related field.
• Preferred certifications in fiber optics or related disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Install fiber optic cables and equipment in residential settings with proper connections.
• Perform site surveys to determine best installation practices and obstacles.
• Configure and test fiber optic equipment, including ONTs, routers, and modems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve fiber optic installation issues such as signal loss and connectivity.
• Educate customers on use and maintenance of installed fiber systems and provide excellent service.
• Maintain accurate installation and maintenance records.
• Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards during all activities.
• Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and CSRs to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in fiber optic technology.
