DataOne Systems is seeking a Fiber Optic Characterization Lead Technician / PM experienced in testing and network troubleshooting. You will lead field-testing initiatives, manage test equipment, supervise technicians, and provide customers with updates on milestones and progress.

The role requires coordinating with customers during maintenance windows, producing final reports, and ensuring safety and quality across projects. This on-the-road position offers a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required; vocational/technical/business school desired.
• Valid US driver's license is required.
• Minimum 5 years of telecommunications training and/or experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency as Fiber Characterization Technician (B-Side).

Responsibilities

• Manage all test equipment assigned to the project.
• Ensure all test equipment is current on calibration.
• Write and present daily reports as needed.
• Supervise technicians and assign tasks.
• Coordinate testing timing within the customer maintenance window.
• Provide on-site interface with customer contacts and deliver final paperwork on time.
