Job summary

Network Connex is seeking a Foreman to lead a fiber optic team in a dynamic data center environment. The role involves advanced splicing, testing, and on-site project supervision to ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery.

Responsibilities include coordinating 2–3 crew members, interpreting prints, performing mid-sheath splicing, and producing documentation. A strong background in telecom construction and live network troubleshooting is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in telecommunications with construction/tower work.
• 2–3 years splicing and testing fiber on dark fiber networks.
• 3+ years using Fujikura fusion splicing machines (864ct/1728ct/3456ct).
• 3+ years OTDR/OLTS testing with EXFO equipment.
• 2+ years producing Fast Reporter network docs.

Responsibilities

• Lead 2–3 crew members and manage safety, quality, schedule, and cost.
• Interpret customer prints to plan tasks and schedule work.
• Hold daily pre-work meetings and ensure alignment on goals.
• Perform precise fusion/mid-sheath splicing on high-count fibers.
• Operate splicers/testers and document progress with photos.
• Pull fibers, install cabinets/basket trays, and support lifts.
• Produce phase-closeout documentation and reports.
