Job summary

A leading network development firm in Washington, DC, is seeking a Fiber Project Manager to oversee the lifecycle of fiber optic network projects. This role requires 5+ years of experience in fiber engineering, managing project pace, financial health, and supervising teams. The ideal candidate possesses strong public speaking and communication skills, is experienced in fiber design, and must be willing to travel for fieldwork. A BS in Engineering or an advanced degree is preferred, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Sitetracker.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in fiber engineering with a proven record of success across multiple client settings.
• Deep knowledge of fiber design (site acquisition, permitting, GIS, aerial pole surveys, and cable placement).
• Must be willing to travel and perform field work as required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fiber engineering and construction inspection.
• Manage project’s financial health, including budget adherence.
• Supervise internal staff and lead status meetings.
• Act as the primary liaison between internal departments and clients.
• Assist with complex design assignments and solve engineering challenges.
