Job summary

TE Connectivity Arden, NC is seeking an Assembly Operator IV for the weekend shift to assemble and test fiber optic cables and connectors. You will work in a cleanroom, polish and test components, and assist in process improvements while maintaining strict quality standards.

The role requires attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, ability to read prints, and at least two years in manufacturing with fiber optic experience. Overtime may be required to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• At least two years of manufacturing experience, including fiber optic assembly.
• Able to read prints/blueprints.
• Able to work in a cleanroom and wear PPE.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Polish and test fiber optic cables.
• Assemble and package fiber optic connector components as needed.
• Terminate single and multi-fiber cables.
• Operate fiber router and complete over-molding process as needed.
• Support prototype and pre-release NPI builds.
• Measure components with calipers, gauges or other devices.
• Maintain traceability of product via paperwork.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor equipment repairs.
• Work in cleanroom and wear PPE.
• Suggest process improvements to improve efficiency.
• Work as part of a team to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Inspect own work against drawings and prints.
